"I remember my favorite Big Band Jazzy Funk Memory like it was last night. It was that cold February evening when Big Band Jazzy Funk graced the stage of Grayslake High Schools annual event known as Cabaret Night. It began early when I heard the sound of a raccoon being tortured in the cafeteria, I ran from the hallway into the lunchroom and saw Scott Galuska putting all of his heart and soul into an old trumpet. Mark Fletcher was standing by Scott's side, admiring the soulful sounds that he taught Scott. After minutes of practice Scott had mastered the musical instrument that took others years of hard work. That just goes to show the advanced level of talent that all members of Big Band Jazzy Funk had that night. The evening continued on slowly due to a lack of energy given off by many of the performers, but it was time for Grayslake High School to get funky, after several minutes of setting up the bands equipment the band began. The crowd went wild as each member of the band showed off their talent especially the infamous James Farren who revealed his new found talent when he accepted the challenge of playing the conglomeration of metal and bells known as the tambourine. After several minutes, the crowd wiped the drool from their chins and cheered for what seemed like days as the band concluded their song. The night will never be forgotten as it is written in the record books as the best live concert of the century, narrowly beating out the Beatles live performance in New York. Drones of fans will forever have the bragging rights to claim that they were at the musical event of the century. The band will forever be remembered in the hearts of all that witnessed this musical event." -James F.

"Down-and-dirty breakbeats rumble steadily over wispy dark ambiance on these edgy groovers in a Halloween mood. If these tracks fail to instill fear, blame it on the absence of vocals." (on ericlaurence) Snap.com

"not bad dudes, innovative idea with the no singing thing, though I reccomend maybe a couple songs with some sort of lyrics cause otherwise it would be the same riffs replayed over and over..as long as it isnt whoever sang in the pianist."
